About

A laid-back, open therapy space where you can show up as yourself.

I created Roaring Courage Counseling to be a safe place where you can be vulnerable, open, and honest about life changes without feeling judged or rushed.

Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Idaho.

I'm Veronica Villanueva, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Idaho.

My graduate training is in Marriage, Family, and Couples counseling, and my approach is Gestalt, person-centered, and eclectic. I shape the work around you and what you are carrying instead of forcing one rigid method onto every situation.

My style is open and laid-back. I want counseling to feel more comfortable over time, and I want you to have a space where you can talk without judgment, shame, or pressure to perform.

That includes LGBTQ+ clients and families who want affirming support without having to explain or defend who they are before the real work can begin.

More than anything, I want this work to help you understand yourself more clearly, make healthier decisions, and care for your mental health in a way that feels honest and sustainable.

Approach

Eclectic, person-centered support that adapts to what you need.

My approach is Gestalt and person-centered, and I draw from multiple modalities depending on what you need.

Person-centered
I want our work to feel safe, collaborative, and responsive rather than distant or performative.
Gestalt-informed
I pay close attention to your present experience, your patterns, and the lived reality of what is happening now.
Eclectic
I draw from family-based, goal-oriented, play-based, and art-directed support depending on what you need.
Affirming and respectful
If you are LGBTQ+, you can talk with me about identity, relationships, belonging, and safety without having to educate me before the real work starts.
